Booking & Cancellation Policies

Booking Policy

Validity of Rates: Prices are valid for the dates indicated.

Currency: All rates are quoted in Indian Rupees, or as otherwise indicated.

Children's Rates: Child costs are based on sharing a room with adults and using existing bedding . Cost for additional bedding and rollaways are available on request.

Payment Options: Mangalam Tours (P) Ltd., offers a secure server for your credit card payments. Alternatively, you can fax through your credit card details to us, send a cheque or make a direct deposit. Please visit our payments page for more details.

Travel Insurance: It is extremely important that you take out

Insurance. It is ESSENTIAL that this insurance covers you for involuntary cancellation of your holiday including airfare(s). For information on the policy sold by Third party Insurance Companies, please visit Insurance companies website and make yourself familiar with the Combined Product Disclosure Statement, Policy Wording and Financial Services Guide prior to purchasing the policy. At the time of entering your credit card details on the booking form you are agreeing that you have read both the Insurance Terms & Conditions.

Full amount is due at time of booking and policy issued within 5 working days of payment being received. Credit card and direct deposit accepted. NOTE: Dates of birth are required to issue insurance. Until dates of birth are known we cannot issue the policy as mandatory requirement. Cover only commences when paid in full and policy issued.

Booking payment are to be done in advance.

Package Cancellation Policy

What is failure transaction / unsuccessful transaction?
All payments are processed by the bank that issues the credit or debit card or netbanking. Based on that process the bank returns a successful or failed message. Bank does not provide any reason for failed transactions and in some cases may return this message to us even after successfully debiting a customer's account. No amount is paid to us when a transaction is termed failed and we would not be in a position to make refunds against these transactions. The process of receiving the transaction status is fully automated and it is very unlikely that we do not confirm a ticket with a successful transaction message.

Payment made but no confirmed ticket.

Tickets are confirmed when we receive a Successful transaction message. Any technical problems in this stage including a break in connectivity or slow connection can cause this problem. In all these circumstances the total amount including any service charge is refunded to the customers account. The refund is done as a manual process in the morning of every working day. The amount will normally reflect in the customer's account within 15 working days, but this depends on the individual bank and their processes.

Cancellation refund not done.

The cancellation refunds are done manually every forenoon on all working days. The refund amount will normally appear within 15 working days of our refunding, but this depends on the individual bank and their processes.

For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Rights to amend the itinerary if required

Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

Current cancellation.
We do allow cancellation of current tickets up to four hour before departure of bus from its starting point. This time is not to be confused with the boarding time printed on your booking.

Who do I contact for complaints regarding refunds, failed transactions, not confirmed order etc?

The best way to reach us for complaints regarding refunds, failed transactions and booking etc is by writing a email to with your PNR & contact details.

Who do I contact for complaints related to operations?

Complaints related to the actual bus services i.e. Delay in service, physical discomfort during the journey, behaviour of the staff, quality of buses, etc will be addressed at main office. You can send a mail to, this reaches the management directly.

Cancellation charges per person will be applicable as follows:

If cancellation is made any time not less than 60 days prior to departure, 25% shall be deducted.

If cancellation is made 59 to 30 days prior to departure, 50% of tour cost shall be deducted.

If cancellation is made 29 to 15 day prior to departure, 75% of tour cost shall be deducted.

If cancellation is made less than 14 day prior to departure, 100% of tour cost shall be deducted.

In case passenger is no show at the time of departure, 100% of tour cost shall be deducted.

In case of cancellation/delay of any train, each situation will be analyzed in a fair way on a per case basis and you will be responsible for any non refundable portions of the ticket.

Please note - Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs - in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us - a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

In case of booking with Taj, Leela group of hotels and special train journey (like Palace on Wheels, Deccan Odyssey, and Royal Orient etc.) and high peak season bookings (Special seasons like Diwali - 15th Oct to 15th Nov - & X’ Mas / New Year period - 15th Dec to 15th Jan) NO refund will be provided irrespective of the period.

We advise our clients to subscribe to travel insurance at home at the same time they purchase their international flight tickets.

We cannot be held responsible for problems due to events that are not under our control (weather, political demonstrations, airline & train delays, traffic jams, floods etc.)

As our policy is one of “fair travel”, we will always do our best to keep all interests at heart.


Cancellation charges for flight booking shall apply as per airlines cancellation rules. 

With Mangalam Tours, you can cancel your flight no later than 24 hours before the time of departure. If it’s later than 24 hours, you need to contact the airline directly for cancellation.

In case of cancellation/delay of any flight, air companies have their own policy to help their respected clients. Due to any cancellation/delay of flight if there is any extra cost has to goes to your account.  

Wildlife Safaris Cancellation:

All the wildlife safaris booked into any of Indian Wildlife National Park/Sanctuaries are non refundable. Even date change request will be considered as cancellation and no payment will be refunded/ adjusted against it.


Cancellation charges for hotel booking shall apply as per hotels cancellation rules.

Accommodation: Accommodation is as specified in the accommodation section of our web sites. All costs are shown in Indian Rupees, unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to offer alternative accommodation of a similar standard in the case the accommodation operator overbooks their property or for any reason beyond our control. All rates are subject to change without notice. Not all properties provide instant availability and in these cases Mangalam Tours (P) Ltd., checks availability once we receive the booking request.

Flights: Airfares show instant availability and fares at the time of quoting however we will not proceed with booking flights until your accommodation is confirmed. This is to avoid strict fees charged by airlines for flight amendments. This may result in fare and/or availability changes.

Check In / Check Out Times: These vary according to operator. Generally your accommodation check in is 2pm and check out 12pm. Please note that most properties will require a credit card authorisation on check-in and may need to see photo identification. In the instance that you don't have a credit card usually a cash bond will be required.

Single Supplement Costs: If not shown in your selected accommodation cost, this is available on application.

Accommodation Ratings: Are based on our own, ratings are for guidance only.

Group And Incentive Travel: As group and conference rates are specially contracted rates specific for that particular group, they have different terms and conditions to standard holidays. If you are booking a group or incentive, please ensure that these conditions are explained to you.

All maps, photographs, illustrations and computer based graphics are included for general purposes only and are not always indicative of the subject matter. Hotel room photographs (graphics) may not be specific to the actual room occupied. Maps are not to scale.

Quotations: All quotations are subject to availability of services quoted and are not guaranteed until the booking is confirmed and deposit received. Quotes are valid for 48 hours from issue date.

Inclusions and Exclusions

Prices DO Include: Accommodation, transfers, tours/cruises, car hire, government taxes and any other inclusions as specified in writing on the relevant web pages for each tours.

Prices DO NOT Include: Any costs incurred en route to and from the destination, meals (unless specified), alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, items of a personal nature, and personal services not specified as being included in costs on the relevant web pages for each suppliers product. Rates do not includes extra destination where Mangalam Tours cannot operate must be paid directly to the operators.

Our Liabilities & Limitations:

Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.

Mangalam Tours (P) Ltd., act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.

All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants' safety, comfort & general well being.

Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and checkout time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.

We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred - directly or indirectly - due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipment’s, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.

We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting - directly or indirectly - from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.

We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client's risk.

Passports & Visas

To travel to India from overseas countries except for the citizen of Nepal & Bhutan one needs a 06 months valid passport and a valid Visa. And processing of Passport and Visa are not included in the tour cost.


Any person who has a contagious disease is forbidden to travel, any person found during the tour with such a disease will be asked to leave the tour and will have to make their own arrangements to return home.
